Online MSN Degree Admission Requirements

MSN HCSM Admission Checklist

You must already possess:

  • A BSN degree from a school accredited by the National League for Nursing or the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education, or a Bachelor's degree in any field, plus completion of the Loyola MSN Bridge Program
  • A current and unrestricted RN license in practice in the United States
  • Proof of liability coverage at a minimum of $1,000,000 is now a requirement for Loyola’s MSN-HCSM and Bridge applicants.
  • A cumulative GPA of 2.8 or higher on all prior undergraduate work
  • The undergraduate equivalent of three semester credit hours in Statistics

BLEND/BRIDGE Program Admission Requirements:

  • A non-Nursing Bachelor's degree in any field
  • A current unrestricted R.N. License in practice in the United States; a copy of the license must be submitted with the application form
  • A minimum of one year of recent work experience in Nursing
  • Submission of an application
  • Submission of an application fee of $40
  • Official transcripts from each college/university attended
  • Three recommendations (on the Loyola form) from persons knowledgeable about the applicant's aptitude for graduate school (e.g. former Professors or Master's prepared Nursing Supervisors)
  • A typed goal statement, approximately one page in length, describing your professional goals and reasons for pursuing a graduate degree
  • A cumulative GPA of 2.8 or higher on all prior undergraduate work
  • The undergraduate equivalent of three semester credit hours in Statistics

  • $40 Application fee (check made payable to Loyola University New Orleans).
  • Fill out our Online Application (or Download the PDF version here***)
  • A typed goal statement, approximately one page in length, describing your career goals and interest in graduate education
  • A copy of your current and unrestricted RN license
  • Official transcripts from college/university attended.
    Loyola University recommends ‘course-by-course’ ECE (www.ece.org) for all international transcripts.
  • Three recommendations (on the form provided by Loyola) from persons knowledgeable about the applicants aptitude for graduate school such as -former Professors or Nursing Supervisors
